Genoa /Genova  is one of the oldest cities in Italy and one of its main seaports. Its main features include the Piazza de Ferrari where the Opera and the Palace of the Doges are. There is also a house where Christopher Columbus is believed to have been born. Part of the old city was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2006. Other landmarks of the city include St. Lawrence Cathedral, the Old Harbor, transformed into a shopping centre, the second largest aquarium in the world and the port is home to the oldest working lighthouse in the world., so quite a lot to see in Genoa.
